8/21/05 ... First Original Song! "Technicolor Dreamgirl" ... Lyrics written by Dom DiFrancesco (he also provides the vocal accompaniment in the song). I wrote the rhythm guitar and melody, Steve Armenti plays lead guitar, and my brother, Tyler Dewechter, can be heard on the drums. Tweaks, comments, praises, complaints welcome!

(also, check out my brother's band on myspace.com - just search "Willowmere" in the music section!)

8/19/05 ... "Comfortable" - John Mayer cover, added today!

August 19th, 2005 @ 1:28AM

8/18/05 ... New songs added! One is a cover of "Such Great Heights" by Iron and Wine. I also decided to post a couple from The Grad Party set, indicated by "GP version" next to the song name. These are "The General" by Dispatch, and "#41" and "Grey Street" by DMB. Although they are two dif. files, 41 and GS are designed to be played back to back, though listenable individually too...Enjoy!

8/16/05 (again) ... Ok so here's the deal. I've re-posted the old covers. Due to the space restrictions on this site, I can't post the whole Grad Party. However, I have come up with an idea. Here's a list of the songs that we did:

1. Don't Push - Sublime
2. Rivers of Babylon - Brad Nowell (acoustic Sublime)
3. Rodeo Clowns - J. Johnson and G. Love
4. Flake - J. Johnson
5. Hang - Matchbox 20
6. I Feel Home - OAR
7. Bang Bang - Dispatch
8. Put Your Lights On - C. Santana and Everlast
10. #41 - Dave Matthews Band
11. Grey Street - Dave Matthews Band
12. The General - Dispatch
13. Super Mario Bros. Theme (about 25 seconds long, completely impromptu)
14. Wonderwall - Oasis

also available: "The First Half" and "The Second Half" - two rather large files containing the show "uncut" if you will. See other details on post from 8/15/05.

Until I find a larger music host, if you'd like to hear any of these songs, just drop me an e-mail: patdewechtermusic@yahoo.com . In the subject line, put "Song Request," and in the body tell me what songs you'd like. I'll send a return e-mail with the songs attached. Or ... you can drop me an IM on my sn: aceofspadez11, and I'll send you the file direct. The IM method is pretty unreliable though, so I would recommend usin' e-mail. Request one, request them all! I am also going to post the most requested songs right here on my dmusic site. If you have a song that you'd like to hear, but don't want it sent to you, send me an e-mail with subject "Song Vote," and put your vote in the body. In a week or so, I will compile the votes and requests, and the top three I will post here on the dmusic site. Please only vote by e-mail! Thanks!

Until then, happy listening,
Pat

8/16/05 ... Back to the drawing board ... It seems streamload.com wasn't exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't get around the download restrictions like I thought, and the tiny 100MB that I had are used up already. So unfortunately for now "The Grad Party" will once again be out of commission. Please check back, hopefully sometime soon I will get this all worked out. Meanwhile, some revisions to the site. Easier navigation, more updates, now if I can only get some more music posted...

8/15/05 ... At last! Ok so here it is, "The Grad Party." Steve Armenti on lead guitar, Kevin Connors on drums, and myself on rhythm guitar and vocals. Songs from the show are indicated with a "GP" next to the name. The ones with numbers in front are the single songs we did, cut from the original recording. You can download them all and play them in order (indicated by the number) to listen to the show as a whole. You'll also find two files labeled "First Half" and "Second Half." As you might assume, "First Half" is the uncut version of the show (56 mins. long) from "Don't Push" to "Put Your Lights On." The music stops at 38 mins, and then there is about 20 mins of nothing, since I forgot to stop the recording during break, haha. "Second Half" contains the uncut version from "The Way" to "Taylor." On this one, the music stops at about 29:30, and Taylor gets cut off, because the battery ran out on my computer. You get all of the rehearsed part of the set, but only some of the unrehearsed requests. And there you have it! "The Grad Party." Enjoy!

8/14/05 ... Yo guys ... Nice, you follow directions. A little bit about me: I've been playin the guitar and singin' along with it since I was about 14. Don't have any originals yet, but we're workin' on that ... You'll find pretty much all acoustic stuff on here. Running updates above...

Thanks again and enjoy!
